Bandits 8u Stay Together for 2011

The 2010 Bandits 8u Tournament Team is going to stick together for the 2011 season.   The team will become a full season travel team competing at the 9U level.   The boys and the families are excited about the wonderful opportunity.

Batavia Bandits Play this Friday Night!

The Batavia Bandits open the North Aurora tourney Friday night.  The team will be facing the Roselle Renegades at 6:00 pm at IMSA field (S).   Good Luck Bandits!

Batavia Bandits Close out the Weekend at the Elmhurst Summer Slam

The Bandits bounced back this afternoon and brought home the 3rd place hardware at the Elmhurst Summer Slam.   The Bandits beat the Lombard Lightning 6-5 to cap off a solid week of baseball.

Bandits endure tough Loss

The Batavia Bandits lost a hearbreaker this afternoon to the Horner Park 8U team.   The Bandits trailed early 2-0 but battled back to take a 3-2 advantage in the top of the 5th.  The Bandits were hitting the ball hard but struggled to score any isurance runs in the top of the 6th inning.   Horner Park lead off the bottom of the sixth with a triple and ended the game by scoring two runs after a couple of more hits.   Final score 4-3.

Bandits Win Nail Biter!

The Batavia Bandits showed a lot of character and determination with a come from behind win this afternoon against the Elmhurst Green All Stars.

The Bandits scored 8 runs in the first two innings but struggled to score again until the bottom of the sixth. Down 9-8, the Bandits tied the game on Griffin Bohr's RBI single. Two batters later, with two outs and the bases loaded, Charlie Grimm recorded a game winning RBI after being hit by a pitch. Talk about taking one for the team.

The Bandits' win advances them to semi-final round Sunday at 11:00 am.
