With nine runs in the first three innings, Batavia Bandits 9U left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

First-inning rally sparks blowout win for Batavia Bandits 9U, 10-3
Batavia Bandits 9U refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Yorkville Foxes, recording a 10-3 victory on Monday at Reed Keppler Park. Eight runs in the first three innings allowed Batavia Bandits 9U to put the game away early. An RBI single by Braden Krumwiede, an RBI single by Ryan Ingold, and an error in the first inning supplied the early offense for Bandits.
The Bandits came out swinging, scoring six runs in the first inning to jump ahead of Yorkville Foxes early. Krumwiede was solid at the plate, going 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs.
PlayerA was steady at the plate for Yorkville Foxes. PlayerA went 2-3 and scored two runs. PlayerA doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.
Adam Bendoraitis threw two innings of scoreless ball for Batavia Bandits 9U.

Bandits Vs Ducks Gold 6:00 pm
The Batavia Bandits 9U (5-2-1 KCBL, 10-4-1 overall) will rematch the Wheatland Ducks Gold (6-2-0 KCBL) tonight at 6:00 pm. The last time the teams played the Bandits won 14-6 in 5 innings. The Bandits extended their lead to 22-6 in the top of the 6th, but the game was called due to darkness before the inning was completed.

Bandits Game Postponed in 4th.
The Bandits 9u game was postponed tonight due to rain and lightning. The Bandits were leading 7-3 after 3 1/2 innings. The Bandits had taken the field in the bottom if the 4th when the umpire called for a delay after lighting appeared. The game was postponed a half hour later when radar showed little relief from the storms for the rest of the evening. No information is currently available for resuming the game.
Bandits Face Wheatland Ducks Green Tonight
The Bandits will play the Wheatland Ducks Green this evening at 5:45pm in Naperville. The two teams have alreaady plaayed each other this past Saturday. The Bandits won the first meeting 9-0. The Bandits need to make sure they don't take this game to lightly as the middle of the Duck's lineup is plenty capable with the bat. The game is scheduled for 5:45 pm.

Bandits 4th Straight!
The Batavia Bandits picked up their 4th straight win.defeating the Oswego Corbra White club last night 10-7. The game was not quite as close as the score would lead one to believe. The Bandits had a 10-2 lead with two outs in the top of the 6th inning, but a tough error and a few walks made the game interesting. The Bandits did prevail after Logan Mont recorded a strike out to end the game 10-7.

Bandits Battle to Win Despite Sloppy Start
The Batavia Bandits did not play their best defense today, but they continued to battle to the very end.
The Bandits down 5-9 scored 5 runs in the top of the 6th inning to take a one run 10-9 lead.
North Aurora put the tying run on base with a one out single, but Ethan Taylor retired the next two batters to close out the game. Final score Bandits 10 North Aurora 9.

Batavia Bandits 2011 Hub City 9U Tournament Champions
The Batavia Bandits 9U defeated the Illinois Valley Titans 8-1 to win the 2011 Rochelle Hub City Tournament.
The Bandits jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the bottom half of the 1st inning and never looked back. The pitching and defense continued to be outstanding this game as it had been the whole weekend.
The Titans scored a run in the top of the 4th. Ryan Ingold responded in the bottom half of the inning with a "bomb" to center field recapturing the Bandits 4 run lead. The Bandits scored three more before the inning ended. That is all the offense the Bandits needed, winning the game with a final score of 8-1.

The Batavia Bandits 9u defeated the Aurora Starz this morning 13-3. The win advances the Bandits to the Championship game this afternoon versus the Illinois Valley Titans.

Rochelle Rampage Tourney
The Batavia Bandits won their first two games on Saturday at the Rochelle tournament. The Bandits defeated the Freeport Stix 13-3 and the Rochelle Rampage 9-3. The Bandits earned the number 1 seed in the Pool A and will be taking on the Pool B no. 2 seed today at 10:00 am. The game will be scored live on gamechanger.

The Batavia Bandits 9u team played two games yesterday in Elmhurst. The Banditis beat Elk Grove in the early afternoon game 8-5. The second game of the afternoon did not fair as well for the team. The Bandits lost a close game 8-10 to the Elmhurst Extreme.

Elmhurst Extreme Games For Saturday ?
Elmhurst has cancelled all games for today. There is a strong possibility that all Saturday games will be cancelled as well. If tomorrows games are indeed postponed the Bandits will have a very full day of baseball on Sunday. Check back here often for updates on this developing situation.
Bandits Brave cold and fight back to earn two KCBL points.
The Bandits parents may have been freezing in the stands, but the Batavia Bandits 9u players got fired up in the last inning of Thursday's game to fight back and earn a tie.
The game time tempature was listed as 46 degrees. The 20 mph winds and overcast skies made it feel like a Chicagoland January cold spell. The Bandits lost a player at the start of the game due to illness and called strikes from the umpire where hard to come by for our pitching staff. At the end of the 1st inning the Bandits were down 7-0. Not the start the players, parents, and coaching staff where hoping to see.
The Bandits scored 7 runs of their own in the top of the 2nd inning to get back into the mix of things. Oswego scored to in the bottom half of the 2nd to retake the lead 7-9. The Bandits scored one run in the top of the 3rd. Bryson Mitchell lead the inning off with a hit and was later driven in by Charlie Grimm's RBI single bringing the Bandits within a run (8-9).

Bandits Drop Elmhurst Extreme Opening Round Game
The 9u Batavia Bandits lost to Crown Point during today's opening round of the 2011 Elnhurst Extreme Basbeall tournament. The Bandits scored first taking a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. The Bandits held that lead until the top of the fourth when Crown Point scored 2 runs. The Bandits where not able to get their offense going and eventually lost the game 10-1. The team looks to get their first regular season win when they resume KCBL play tomorrow against Oswego at 5:30 pm. Elmhurst Extreme Tourney play resumes this Saturday.

The Bandits took a 1-0 lead on Charlie Grimm's RBI single in the bottom of the third scoring Zack Bader from 2nd base.
The Bandits struggled in the top of the 4th giving up 3 runs to the Cobras, but quickly bounced back scoring 2 runs to tie the game in the bottom half of the inning. The Cobra's quickly posted a run in the top of the 5th and held on to defeat the Bandits 4-3 after 6 innings.
The Bandits plan on bouncing back with a game either this Wednesday or Thursday. Check back often for updated game times and locations.

2011 Season Workouts Begin
The Bandits are back together for 2011. Eleven of last years players are returning for this year's campaign. The Bandits have also have a added a new face, Ethan Taylor, to this years squad.
Practices started earlier this month. The boys have been working hard in the batting cages knocking the rust off their swings as well as working on their fielding and pitching. They are holding work outs at Top Pick Athletics in N. Aurora as well as Finish Strong in West Chicago.
Withe spring just a few weeks away, we are all looking forward to the start of a new season. Go Bandits!
